United Way's Labor Participation department provides Union Counselor Training Programs that equip members of organized labor with greater knowledge about our community and its resources, and how those resources can make a positive difference in the lives of people in need.

United Way's Labor Participation department also plays a key role in Basic and Advanced Union Counselor Training Program. Representatives from community-based organizations join the training sessions to provide input and learning from this series of workshops. This training equips participants with greater knowledge about our community and its resources, and how correctly using those resources can make a positive difference in people's lives.

Throughout the year, United Way's Labor Participation department helps members of organized labor to give back to the community. Whether it's working together to build wheelchair ramps for people with disabilities and facing financial struggles or numerous other civic efforts, United Way is proud of our association with businesses and labor unions dedicated to making the Mid-South a better place to live.
