United Way of the Mid-South was chosen by the state of Tennessee as one of several grant administrators for the Tennessee CARES Act. These grants, created by the Department of Human Services as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, will provide $150 million in direct federally funded aid to non-profit organizations located across Tennessee and serving Tennesseans.
“As a charitable foundation that connects donor dollars to grant funds to make the most impact in our community, we see firsthand how non-profits in our area are struggling,” said… “Being able to partner with the state in the Tennessee CARES Act allows us to ensure our local non-profits continue to meet the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors.”
The deadline for application submission was August 15, 2020. United Way thanks every non-profit for their interest in the TN Community CARES Program. Applications are currently being evaluated and non-profits will be notified of funding decisions using the email address included in their application.
