Free Tax Prep EXT

Beginning May 11 through July 15, 2020, the United Way of the Mid-South is offering extended free tax preparation assistance for individuals or families with amended returns, current year and prior year(s) return(s).

A “Stimulus Hotline” will be activated to help individuals understand their eligibility.  The hotline will also provide resources to prepare “stimulus” related returns and to check the status of the current payment.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Household annual income of $56,000 or less (will not prepare: K-I’s, Schedule D, Schedule E or Schedule F) 

MUST BRING: 

• Picture ID 
• W-2s and 1099s 
• Copy of original tax returns to be amended 
• Social Security Card(s) for everyone on tax return 
• Proof of Health Insurance Form 1095s (if available) 
• Any letters/transcripts from the IRS

HOLIDAY CLOSURES on Saturday, May 23rd; Monday, May 25th; Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th. Our operating hours will continue Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The site will prepare current year, prior year, and amended returns.
