Nicole Thomas, Communications Specialist, Global Citizenship with FedEx brought an $80,000 check to United Way offices earlier this week.
FedEx is the single largest employee and corporate campaign in United Way’s drive to collect resources for improving education, financial stability and health for the Mid-South. Part of the organization’s corporate gift is helping drive more momentum for stronger outcomes in our education causes across the Mid-South this year.
The $80,000 is only part of FedEx’s multi-million dollar total contribution to the campaign. The grand total will be announced at United Way’s Annual Meeting and Campaign Celebration on March 19.
Shannon Brown, Senior Vice President, Chief HR & Diversity Officer at FedEx will become the volunteer Chairman of the Board of Directors at the March meeting. Brown is also a previous General Campaign Chairman for United Way.
